I want you to imagine you are on a train going one hundred miles an hour. It’s a really fast and luxurious train with great food, free wine, and the most delicious deserts. The party is going strong and everyone is having a great time. Now envision that you get word that the bridge is out one thousand miles down the track. What do you do? Stop the train?
Now imagine the conductor wants to keep the train going with full momentum and hope for the best. People rise up and start arguing with the conductor saying, “We need to stop the train before we go off the cliff.” The conductor tells everyone, “It’s not really that bad. These people are just trying to scare you.”
Very quickly the train is evenly divided into two camps. One camp says we need to keep going down the track (Democrats) and the other (Republicans) says we need to stop. But suddenly everyone is trying to come together and compromise for the greater good. The two “parties” come together and a decision is made to split the difference. They decide to slow the train down to fifty miles per hour. That is what we call Bi-partisanship in America these days.
Now imagine someone with conviction (say Ted Cruz) decides to speak up and is attacked by both groups as a radical for wanting to stop the train. He is ridiculed and mocked by both parties. Does this sound familiar?
Please understand both National parties are taking us to the same place. One is just going a little faster. I believe these politicians can be influenced. Call your representative and let them know you want to stop the train and change tracks! On issues like immigration, taxes, health care, religious freedom, traditional marriage, abortion, jobs and many more we are heading for a cliff
Who would want a doctor that negotiates how much poison he’ll allow a criminal to give you?
Imagine that is your doctor and he acts like he’s doing you a favor, that you get to take a little less poison. Your doctor sits you down to explain that you are now going to die a little bit slower and then they ask you to pay them for it. This is politics in America today. This reminds me of the Chinese throwing thousands of diseased pigs in their drinking supply. Would you drink water from a river that had 13,000 diseased pigs floating in it?
Don’t take the poison!
Don’t drink the Kool-Aid!
